After last night’s result, there is a four-way tie atop the leaderboard. Bobby Heffner, Brandon Snare, Frank E. Cierech, and Rory McPeek share the lead with 18 points. All four are obviously still alive to win the pool.
Interestingly, though, none of the four leaders picked both favorites in the remaining two games. So if Ohio State and Auburn win, the four leaders will be overtaken by a group of four that would tie for first, with the tiebreaker scores determining the finishing order. Those four are Henry Kielblock, Lauren Handel, Lou Sabad, and Tom Hash.
Finally, a few others are still alive for 2nd or 3rd place. Heather Henck and Mark Franzyshen would finish in 2nd place with two correct picks. Carmella Mattes, George Demers, Nancy Heffner, and Derek Blair could finish tied for 3rd with two correct picks.
The list will be narrowed significantly based on the outcome of the Sugar Bowl tonight.
